GENERAL DENTAL SERVICES

Dr. Chow and his friendly staff aim to provide a pleasant experience for patients in Clinton or surrounding areas. Whether you need a routine cleaning or are looking for a full smile makeover, Parkway Dental of Clinton is the place to be. A healthy mouth begins with routine dental care and if you need more advanced cleanings to get control of gum disease, their experienced and highly skilled dental hygienists can create a plan to address periodontal disease.

DENTAL CLEANINGS

Routine dental cleanings and checkups are important in maintaining your oral health. Patients of all ages, including children, should visit our office at least twice a year. During a routine checkup, our hygienist will clean your teeth to remove bacteria, plaque, and tartar that can cause decay. In addition, Dr. Chow will examine your teeth, looking for cavities, the early symptoms of gum disease, and signs of oral cancer.

DEEP CLEANINGS

Gum disease can develop when pockets of bacteria accumulate in your soft tissues. If you suffer from moderate periodontitis, a deep cleaning is typically the most appropriate treatment. Also known as scaling and root planning , a deep cleaning session will eliminate bacterial pockets, and your dental roots will be smoothed. Rough patches can trap bacteria, and this procedure will prevent the microbes from returning.

ORAL CANCER SCREENINGS

Oral Cancer can be a completely debilitating disease that can cause many problems with your oral health. One of the best ways to make sure oral cancer doesn't affect you too greatly is regular oral cancer screenings. When you visit Parkway Dental of Clinton we provide in-depth cancer screenings to ensure your smile remains not only beautiful, but completely healthy as well.

FILLINGS

Fillings are the most common treatment for cavities. However, instead of traditional silver amalgam, which can eventually show through your teeth, Dr. Chow uses tooth-colored composite. He will perform a process similar to the dental bonding procedure, lightly etching the inside of your tooth for greater adherence. Composite resin will blend nicely with your tooth, and requires less tooth preparation than silver amalgam fillings.
